We’re bringing nutritious, tasty meals to children and opportunity to the communities we serve since 2009.
Through the unique model of a purpose-driven initiative, Food for Good has grown from delivering 114,000 nutritious servings in 2009 to 80 million1, cumulatively, today.
2An average FFG lunch or dinner consists of approximately five servings – including whole grains, fruits and vegetables, protein, and dairy.
Impact in the Communities We Serve
We aim to hire from the same communities we serve. Food for Good has created more than 160 jobs managing warehouses and delivering food. Our local nonprofit partners also create another 100 summer jobs each summer to provide the children we serve with physical activity and nutrition education.
Food for Good, along with the PepsiCo Foundation and local nonprofit partners, has also supported the placement of AmeriCorps and VISTA members in summer meal programs.
My proudest moment was following a mobile route and seeing the relationship that our staff had with the children. It was wonderful to see how excited children get when they see the Food for Good truck coming down the street in every city.
